Dongmyo flea market is more like an open garage sale minus the garage. It can be a bit intense with all the hal-uh-buh-jis (grandpas) yelling about the deals left and right, but it’s still worth checking out.
This is where you can find real antiques and just about anything from film cameras, used books and records to ancient kitchen appliances.
Most recently, there’s been a few thrift stores that opened up in the area as well. They’re quite similar to the thrift stores in the States except you can’t really expect goodwill prices. If you’re into streetwear and all that, you might get lucky and score some good stuff.
The market is open pretty much everyday except for every second and fourth Tuesday. It opens at 2PM on weekdays and 10AM on weekends. It’s best to go as early so you can to get dibs on all the best stuff.
It’s an interesting place to visit and not too shabby of a way to spend your Sunday afternoon IMO.
